Ginger Costa-Jackson – Mezzo-soprano

Born in Palermo, Italy and raised in Sandy, Utah, Ginger has the Italian passion for opera. More than genetics, her dedication to excellence has magnified her talent and refined her skill. Ginger left her home and family in Utah at age 16 to study opera in the land of her nativity. At 20 she earned her way into the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program (LYADP). Ginger is now 21.

2008-9: Ginger's roles include Dorabella (Così Fan Tutte), Lola (Cavalleria Rustica), Myrtale (Thais), Nerone (L’Incoronazione di Poppea), The Secretary (The Consul), La Voix (Les Contes d'Hoffmann), Sesto (La Clemenza di Tito), Idamante (Idomeneo), with Cherubino and other roles in the works.
